SPEZI 2010

Date: 21.04.2010
We have prepared many new surprises. You will see AZUB ECO trike of course, but also ECO 16, which is untended for shorter riders, children or those who crave for a super compact recumbent bike. ECO 16 will be supplied with an 8-speed hub gear Shimano Alfine with Schwalbe Big Apple tyre-casings and a saddle, which can be adjusted to sizes XS - S – M. It will also be possible to order the bike with a saddle in sizes M - L - XL.

Other enhancements will include AZUB Ibex and AZUB Max on 24˝ wheels. Finally, also the shorter riders set off with ease for demanding conditions and terrain with a bike, which is primarily intended for demanding missions. Choice of components may be a bit limited and it is possible to reorder only one type of suspension fork. Nevertheless, the selection is really wide and we truly believe that everyone will find what they want in our supply.

You can also find extremely lightweight aluminum wheels R.A.W. at the stand of AZUB. This abbreviation means Recumbent Aluminum Wheels and indicates the material, out of which the wheels are made. And be sure that the spikes are also made of this material. These wheels were developed by REMERX Company specifically for recumbent bikes in order to reduce their weight, offer the necessary dimensions and their combinations as well as improve the overall characteristics of these wheels.

One of the big advantages of all-alluminium construction is the improved heat dissipation during braking. This is particularly crucial for 20" wheels, which use rim brakes for braking. Another aspect that has recently been gaining in importance is the easy recycling, because the wheels are almost entirely made of one type of material, which significantly reduces the cost and complexity throughout the recycling process.

Wheels are currently offered in one color version and can be used both for disc and rim brakes. Rims are decorated in black, nipples and hubs are red and spokes are black. Only one of them is red. The bikes have a total of 24 high-strength aluminum flat spokes, which among others also improve the overall aerodynamics of wheels and also are made directly, which reduces their stress. Nipples feature a large bearing surface.

RAW are available in sizes 20 and 26 and can be combined, giving the chance to upgrade their recumbent bikes even to riders owning e.g. Raptobikes or other FWD (Front Wheel Drive) bikes.

The last novelty will be a great surprise. Currently there is only one photograph. The bike that you can see leaning against the transport case is the size 20" and the case itself will be opened at the beginning of the SPEZI fair.
